Vajda-Papír offers nearly 100 jobs to people fleeing the fighting from Ukraine

Vajda-Papír, Hungary's leading manufacturer of sanitary paper products, is offering nearly 100 job opportunities for people fleeing the fighting from Ukraine. Attila Vajda, the founding managing director of the company, said that the group, which employs more than 650 people, is offering jobs at its factories in Dunaföldvár, Székesfehérvár and Budapest. He highlighted that they can also provide a secure income and accommodation for those who are employed here.

Vajda-Papír Ltd. provides accommodation for single people near each of its factories, but also helps families to find accommodation and organises their health care. We do not leave the workers' relatives alone," he said, adding that they are contacting local municipal authorities to arrange for the children's placement in nursery schools and schools. A translator will help workers who do not speak Hungarian to integrate. "As one of Hungary's leading producers of paper products, solidarity has always been important - we regularly help Hungarian families in difficult situations - so we cannot go without helping Hungarians and Ukrainians in Ukraine who are in trouble and seek asylum with us," he said. He emphasized that all forms of support are very important at this time, but that employment can guarantee long-term security for these people.

He said that Vajda-Papír's Budapest factory is offering 20 jobs for machine operators and machine setters, 10 more for manual material handlers, 10 more for manual packers and 10 more for forklift drivers.

In the Székesfehérvár plant, 8 machine operators and 20 manual packers, and in the Dunaföldvár plant, 4 more machine operators, 6 forklift drivers, 3 electrical maintenance workers and 3 machine maintenance workers are waiting for workers fleeing the fighting in Ukraine. Information on job opportunities is available on the Careers sub-page of the Vajda-Papír website (https://vajdapapir.hu/career).
